The International Academic Forum (IAFOR) is a confederation of leaders and opinion formers around the globe who have one thing in common: a desire to make a difference. It was founded in 2009 by a small group of concerned Asian, European and North American academics and business professionals as a mission-driven politically independent organization dedicated to providing and promoting meaningful dialogue irrespective of international borders.
Through its international, intercultural and interdisciplinary conferences, research and publications, IAFOR has become the network hub for information exchange across Asia and beyond; connecting individuals and institutions across the globe, and the thought leaders of today with those of tomorrow.
Founded by filmmakers Ulrich Esser and Maximilian Kaiser in Germany, Tentacle Sync was born out of a need for accurate syncing, especially with DSLR cameras and other semi-professional equipment. Tentacles work with a wide range of cameras and recorders on the market and bring timecode technology to filmmakers of varying professional levels. Both amateur and professional filmmakers depend on reliable timecoding to sync their cameras and audio. Tentacle Sync is a complete, professional workflow solution that suits everyone who works with film, both amateur and professional; from student film to international high-end commercials, from rough documentary settings to TV multicam studio productions.
For nearly a century the Medill School of Journalism has been one of the finest journalism schools in the United States and has produced many Pulitzer Prize laureates and notable journalists. Medill continues to expand its global reach and presence in the field of journalism as the boundaries separating people from one another and from information they want and need will only continue to evaporate. The faculty, staff and students of Medill are constantly at work, visiting news organizations, NGOs and corporations across Europe, Asia, Africa, and South and Central America, striving to understand people, their behaviors and their motivations. This is the foundation for discovering insights that fuel relevant and engaging connections and inspire action between people, brands and enterprises.
Kobe Shimbun is one the longest running and most widely distributed newspapers in the Kansai region of Japan. The morning edition of the paper has a circulation of about 56 million copies and the evening edition 25 million copies.
Kobe Shimbun has been an active member of the local Kobe community and works with a variety of agencies to promote and preserve local traditions and culture. They are also actively involved and dedicated to disaster prevention and response for the city of Kobe.
Kobe Shimbun has been very gracious in welcoming IAFOR and the IDFA to the city of Kobe and we are very grateful for their support.
The Kobe Convention & Visitors Association is actively involved in the promotion of tourism in Japan and overseas. They are dedicated to growing the local Kobe economy by supporting civic and cultural events. They have placed an emphasis on promoting international exchange and goodwill which are very much the same beliefs held by the IDFA.
The Kobe Convention & Visitors Association has been a valued supporter of the IDFA and we are very honored to have them be a part of this amazing event.
